Module 6 - Distress & Mayday
SRC exam-style checks
SRC assessment rewards correct procedure under realistic pressure. You need to know the terms, but you also need to build the call in the right order.
Use these checks after each lesson section and before the mock exam. If one check is weak, return to the voice drill rather than only rereading the text.
Key points
- Can you choose between routine, safety, urgency, and distress without guessing?
- Can you state the channel or DSC route and explain why?
- Can you say the call out loud without missing identity, position, or request details?
- Can you explain the common mistake and the safer alternative?
- Can you keep listening and respond to the other station's instruction?
