Common mistakes and fixes

The most likely mistake in this module is: Starting a Mayday without a usable position or without a clear nature of distress.

Fix it by slowing the call down before pressing PTT. Decide the priority, prepare the essential information, then transmit clearly and briefly.

Other stations cannot break in easily.

Fix: Use short transmissions and listen between them.

Not listening after transmitting

Instructions or acknowledgements may be missed.

Fix: Release PTT and write down the response.
