Module 4 - Channels & Frequencies
Module completion standard
Mark Channels & Frequencies complete only when you can use it in a spoken scenario, not just when the terms look familiar.
The minimum standard is that you can build a correct, concise call, explain the channel or DSC choice, and identify what you would listen for next.
Key points
- I can explain Channel 16, Channel 70, marina/port channels, intership working channels, and when to move off the calling channel.
- I can apply Channel 16, Channel 70 DSC, Working channels, Marina and port traffic to a realistic call.
- I can avoid this trap: Using Channel 70 for voice or staying on Channel 16 for a working conversation.
- I know SRC revision does not replace the official course, exam, licence requirements, or practical radio operation standards.
