Module 5 - Routine Calls
Module completion standard
Mark Routine Calls complete only when you can use it in a spoken scenario, not just when the terms look familiar.
The minimum standard is that you can build a correct, concise call, explain the channel or DSC choice, and identify what you would listen for next.
Key points
- I can explain Radio checks, ship-to-ship calls, marina calls, working channel changes, and ending a conversation cleanly.
- I can apply Radio checks, Calling format, Working channel, Ship-to-shore telephone calls, Over and out to a realistic call.
- I can avoid this trap: Making a routine call long, vague, or incomplete before moving to a working channel.
- I know SRC revision does not replace the official course, exam, licence requirements, or practical radio operation standards.
