The common VHF mistake

Learners often know the words but choose the wrong channel or priority. These questions separate the decision from the script.

Practice aloud after answering

Once you answer correctly, say the call out loud. Radio procedure is both knowledge and delivery.

Build towards full scenarios

Move from single decisions into complete radio-check, marina, Pan-Pan and Mayday scenarios when the basics feel automatic.

Common questions

Can I speak on Channel 70?

No. Channel 70 is for DSC alerts only. Voice follow-up normally happens on Channel 16 or another instructed channel.

Should I practise full calls or short questions first?

Start with short decision questions, then practise full spoken calls so the procedure is correct and fluent.
